Maironis

Pavasario balsai

Skaitmeninis archyvas ir genetinis kritinis leidimas

vyr. redaktorius – Paulius V. Subačius

Maironio poezijos kritinis leidimas ir genetinė rekonstrukcija čia pateikiama kaip daugialypio teksto diachroninės analizės koncepcinis modelis – pagal TEI standartą koduotą variantų visumą, faksimiles bei komentarus integruojantis, akademines ir sklaidos funkcijas sintetinantis skaitmeninis archyvas. Penkis autorinius lyrikos rinkinio „Pavasario balsai“ leidimus skiria tūkstančiai tekstinių (lingvistinio ir bibliografinio kodo) variantų. Ši keturis dešimtmečius (nuo ankstyvų publikacijų 1885 m. iki 1927 m.) trukusi raida liudija kalbinės, ideologinės ir estetinės modernizacijos, kurios intensyviausias periodas sutapo su Maironio kūrybos metais, pastangas. Pagaviai reaguodamas ir talentingai atsiliepdamas į sociokultūrinius pokyčius, jis pats tapo svarbiu modernizacijos veiksniu, įtvirtindamas ne tik naujos eilėraščio kokybės etaloną, bet ir diegdamas grakščių bendrinės kalbos pavidalų siekinį, pasiūlydamas literatūrinę kompoziciją ir knygos dizainą integruojančio poezijos tomelio pavyzdį, tapdamas brandaus literatūrinio teksto ir profesionalėjančios muzikinės kultūros sąveikos katalizatoriumi. › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › ›

The Voices of Spring

A digital archive and a scholarly edition

general editor Paulius V. Subačius

This scholarly edition aims to carry out a genetic reconstruction of Maironis’ poetry, to present the facsimiles, to publish the XML‐encoded versions and commentaries employing a digital archive, i.e. a comprehensive conceptual platform for the development and demonstration of diachronic analysis of multiple texts synthesizing academic and popularisation functions. Maironis was proclaimed the father of modern Lithuanian literature already in his lifetime. The 1st and the 5th authorial editions of “The Voices of Spring”, his sole collection of verses, are separated by thousands of textual (linguistic and bibliographic code) variants. Development lasting four decades (since the first published verses in 1885 until 1927) witness the efforts to adapt to the linguistic, ideological and aesthetic modernization, which coincided with the period of Maironis’ creative activity. He grasped and brilliantly responded to socio‐cultural changes; therefore, the writer himself has become a leading factor of modernization. He established a new benchmark for the quality of the poem; yet more, he also introduced graceful forms of the standard language as an example for imitation, proposed a sample of book integrating literary composition and design, and had become a catalyst of interaction between a fine literary text and a mature musical culture. › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › › ›
